Letter 1: Subject: Impeachment
At a recent Town Hall, we were told: “Impeachment is not the answer”. So, what is the answer?
I beg to differ. Impeachment is the only answer. Our Constitution provides this remedy to remove an elected official for “high crimes and misdemeanors”.
We cannot wait for the next election. By then, our democracy will be in shambles.
(For Representatives: recognize the votes are not presently favorable to pass Articles of Impeachment. However, we need to know and the world needs to see that a good portion of America will not tolerate an unlawful President.)
(For Senators: I recognize the votes are not presently favorable to pass Articles of Impeachment in the House. However, we need to know and the world needs to see that a good portion of America will not tolerate an unlawful President. And hopefully, this time you will do the right thing and vote to convict. )
There is never a wrong time to do the right thing.
Sincerely,

[Congressman/woman's Office Address]
Dear [Congressman/woman Last Name]:
I am writing to you as a constituent concerned about our unconditional support of Israel. In light of Israel’s actions in the ongoing October 7th war, we need new legislation to address U.S. policy toward and financial support of Israel.
This new legislation should codify what the U.S. expects from Israel in order to receive the continued support of American taxpayers. Here are some basic elements that should be included to insure that U.S. policy reflects U.S. values:
-Violation of international law will result in the immediate withdrawal of U.S. support.
-As defined by the 4th Geneva Convention, Israel is an Occupying Force and is therefore obliged to support and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid. Blocking or refusing to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid will result in the immediate withdrawal of U.S. support.
-Any United Nations vote that the U.S. takes pertaining to the Israel or the October 7th War must be in line with taxpayer support and U.S. policy.
-In order to strengthen international law, both Israel and the United States must become signatories of the Rome Statute and recognize the validity of the International Criminal Court.
Thank you for your time and consideration. [I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further with you or your staff.]
Sincerely,
