 Under Construction Letter #1 by BT (500 Days) Recently Senator Chris Murphy took to the Senate floor and made a presentation he called 500 Days of Corruption.  Senator Murphy concluded his report by saying he couldn’t present all of the reported criminal activity due to time constraints. So, my question to you, Senator (….) is of the instances Senator Murphy included in his report, which instance was untrue? I anxiously await your reply. On 23 June 2026 both Mississippi Senators voted against the War Powers Resolution, which passed the Senate in a 50-48 vote.  This concurrent resolution would halt the U. S. military campaign against Iran. Senator Wicker said the effort was unnecessary.  Senator Hyde-Smith said  the President has the necessary authority under the War Powers Act*. *Editor’s note: To the best of my knowledge Congress has not authorized the War Powers Act for military participation in Iran. If this is Hyde-Smith’s understanding of the War Powers Act, she needs to be replaced by Scott Colom.
