This legislation seeks to amend the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to require proof of United States citizenship to register an individual to vote in elections for Federal office and require a photo identification when voting in federal elections. On January 29, 2026, this legislation was introduced and referred to the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, where it awaits further action.    The confidence of the American people in our election processes is essential to our democracy. Letter #1 by MF (EPA) Once again, the Trump administration is ignoring science and threatening the health of Americans.  This time it's about allowing coal plants to pollute our air.   Regulations designed  to limit dangerous emissions are being rolled back at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).   Greater amounts of toxins, like mercury and lead, are being released into the atmosphere. These heavy metals are known to cause neurological damage in adults and babies.   Burning coal also discharges greenhouse gases which fuel climate change.  There are alternative power producers, like wind and solar, that can generate the electricity we need without damaging our health or contributing to global warming.   The government should be protecting its citizens not promoting coal.  I urge you to consider these issues when they come to Congress.
