Billboards

The following is a copy of an email I received from MoveOn asking for financial support of their new billboard campaign about high gas prices. I did donate the requested $9.  Then I sent them the following message:

I just donated to MoveOn’s billboard campaign about high gas prices.  While this is certainly concerning, it is my belief we need billboards everywhere with just two words: IMPEACH TRUMP.  Anything else is just whack-a-mole.  For real change, we need him out of office, tried, convicted and imprisoned.

Here’s the email from MoveOn:

Dear MoveOn member,

We see it every day: skyrocketing gas prices. Americans are angry about them.

And we need to make sure everyone knows who is to blame: Donald Trump and his reckless war in Iran.

But right now, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll, millions of Americans still do not blame Trump for the high cost of gas.1 And on top of that, Trump is gaslighting us, saying that gasoline prices are "not very high," and we know the MAGA social media echo chamber is going to amplify his message and spread his lie.2

That's why MoveOn is launching an aggressive and hard-hitting new ad campaign: We're placing billboards calling out Trump for raising gas prices alongside highways in regions with the highest gas costs in the country. And we're complementing our billboards with geotargeted digital ads to ensure our messages are cutting through—both in person and on our screens.

But we need your help. Will you donate $9 today to launch and sustain our billboard and ad campaign?

While the majority of Americans know Trump is to blame, more than 1 in 5 still do not place blame for high gas prices where it belongs.3

Which means that we still have a long way to go to ensure we get the facts out and reach and educate every American about the cause of the astronomical price of gas.

Getting the truth out is especially urgent because the right wing dominates on social media, allowing them to spread lies and disinformation, like Trump’s claim that gasoline prices are "not very high."4

A terrifying new study shows that of the 100 most-viewed X (formerly Twitter) accounts posting about politics in February 2026, 74 were conservative-leaning and only 26 were liberal-leaning.5

And that's exactly why our new ad campaign will be so impactful.

In regions with the highest cost of gas, people are paying attention, watching every dollar add up at the pump. That's the moment our campaign steps in: billboards alongside the highway and digital ads on social media feeds calling out Trump for spiking gas prices.

Are you in? If so, please, make a $$9 donation today to launch and sustain our billboard and ad campaign.

Thanks for all you do.
