Letter: Responses to a Constituent
Dear Congressman Trent,
(I received your e-mail the other day, and I thought I would add some items that you left
out.)
“Dear Friend,
The One Big, Beautiful Bill is a historic step forward, delivering results for Mississippians and all Americans. Whether you're a senior on fixed income, a working family trying to make ends meet, a farmer, or a small business owner in rural America, this legislation is about putting Americans first and restoring commonsense priorities in Washington. (No, it is not, it is about putting the rich ahead.)
One of the most impactful provisions of this bill is its commitment to protecting and strengthening Medicaid. (This bill weakens Medicaid.) For years, the system has been strained by waste, fraud, and abuse. The overall Medicaid improper payment rate of 5.1% (or $31.10 billion in federal payments) reflects procedural errors or lack of documentation, not necessarily fraud. Much of the improper payment rate results from insufficient documentation for services that were rendered to eligible beneficiaries. This bill protects benefits for those the program was always meant to serve, pregnant women, children, individuals with disabilities, and low-income families. By removing illegal enrollees, (It has not been proven. And No one is illegal on stolen land.) enforcing commonsense work, training, and education requirements, (What job will a seven-year-old or a toddler be able to do? How is a parent who is a caregiver to a disabled child supposed to work and care for their child?)and ending duplicate enrollment across multiple states, we can preserve this safety net for the most vulnerable while safeguarding it for future generations. (How many eighty-year-olds can go back to work?)
For our seniors, the bill delivers long-overdue relief. It expands access to home and community-based care, allowing more Americans to age independently and receive the care they need in the comfort of their own homes. (In other words, it kicks those that are in nursing homes out on the street.) Just as importantly, it provides financial relief by ensuring that the average Social Security recipient will pay no federal taxes on their Social Security benefits – real savings at a time when every dollar counts. (You would be better off taxing the uber rich 15%. If you had done this two years ago, every person on SS would be getting a livable check.)
The One Big, Beautiful Bill is also the most pro-worker, pro-working family legislation in modern history. (No, it is not. It undermines Unions and gives more power to big Coprorations.) It makes the Trump Tax Cuts permanent and delivers the largest tax cut ever for working families. (This will lead to a tax cut for the richest 5 percent of Americans and a tax increase for all other income groups.) This means bigger paychecks, lower tax bills, and huge annual savings for working American families. Low-income workers see the biggest percentage drop in their tax burden. (Lie) New provisions like tax-free tips and overtime, (Only up to a certain dollar amount will be tax free. Taken in over a year, many low wage-earning servers will be paying more in taxes. Many who rely on overtime pay, this will mean a pay cut for them. Ask the oil industry workers.) which is actually lower than plus an enhanced child tax credit, make it easier for working families to get ahead. (Much of the savings on the child credit will be eaten up in high cost of goods.)
Our rural communities also see major wins in this legislation. (Lie) We're making a historic investment in rural healthcare, (Eight hospitals are at risk of closing with the cuts to Medicaid.) giving states the tools to strengthen local hospitals, support providers, and improve access to care closer to home. For Mississippi and all Americans, this is a game-changer. (This will kill the poorest people because they will lose access to life saving medication and doctors.)
Farmers and small businesses, the backbone of our economy, (Then why was USAID stopped?) are also protected. With expanded market access, (Where? The tariffs have all but wiped out any gains our farmers had in the internation market.) permanent tax relief, and permanent enhanced death tax relief, including the small business deduction, this bill brings certainty and stability to family farms and Main Street businesses alike. It gives them the freedom to grow, hire, and continue producing the food, fuel, and fiber that keeps our country running.(They won’t be able to do anything of this with the high tariffs in place.)
At the heart of the One Big, Beautiful Bill is a return to the America First principles (That help start World War I and II.) put the needs of our (Rich) citizens ahead of bureaucracy and broke systems. President Donald Trump and House Republicans are protecting what matters,(Protecting pedophiles.) fixing what's broken, and standing up for the people who count on us. (DOGE cost taxpayers more than what they said they saved.)
I was proud to support this transformational legislation, and I'll continue fighting for the hardworking families of Mississippi's First Congressional District every step of the way.”
<END of Trent Kelly’s response>
You should be ashamed of yourself for bending a knee to the rich and powerful. You disgrace Mississippi and her people.

Letter #2: by MC (Kelly: Shutdown)
Dear Congressman Kelly:
I hope you are enjoying your paid vacation. It is my understanding that in 2025 you have been conducting congressional business for all of 20 days. I’m sure you are busy with other important matters like holding town hall meetings but I’ve yet to get word of one being held. Please let me know when the next one will be held.
You must feel terribly sad for all the federal workers who are mandated to work without pay while you are excused from Congress and continue to get paid. And of course all the federal workers who are furloughed or fired or not sure which it is who also are not being paid and are having a hard time paying for healthcare and other necessities.
I gently remind you of these urgent matters so you could direct some of your time to remedy these matters.
Your constituents need the following:
- A functioning Congress
- A town hall meeting
- Farm Relief
- Affordable healthcare
- SNAP benefits
Sincerely

And now you are silent about the destruction of our White House?!!! What else can Americans to do to make you understand we want this convicted felon gone from our government? You are complicit in the destruction of our White House and our Country.
